World Conker Championships
The official world championship of conkers — threading a horse chestnut on a string and smashing your opponent's conker to pieces. Held in the village of Ashton since 1965. Rules are strict: no steel-reinforced conkers, no soaking them in vinegar. The event raises money for charity and gets serious international competition.
